Sauge accommodation

La Bastide sleeps 4 or 5 people - there is a large double bedroom upstairs with an en suite shower and wc, whilst downstairs there is a bedroom with a double and single bed and en suite bathroom. There is a separate wc downstairs and plenty of storage space. house

The spacious and comfortable living area has a beamed ceiling with a stone fireplace and wood-burning stove; there is a television with DVD player and a good selection of books, games and information on local tourist attractions. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and washing-machine.

From the living area there is direct access onto the terrace where you can enjoy a meal outside or simply relax in the lovely gardens overlooking the patio village. There is also a ‘summer kitchen’ area by the swimming pool (an above ground six metre pool) which offers shade on hot summer days.
There is a boules area in the courtyard and various other games including table tennis and mini-table football. A long distance footpath (Grande Randonnée 364) passes the house and bicycles are available to explore the local area.

All bed linen and towels are provided and beds will be made up ready for your arrival: there is equipment for a baby if necessary. Special arrangements can be made to meet planes or the TGV at Poitiers and, if you wish, an evening meal and/or a welcome pack can be provided. The gîte has electric and central heating as well as a log-burning stove so can be used all year round.
bedroom gite
The chambre d’hôte in the main house has a double bed and en suite shower and wc. This can be booked with the gîte for larger groups or booked separately on a bed and breakfast basis. Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets as we have dogs and cats of our own and the gîte is a no-smoking area; ashtrays are provide for those who wish to smoke outside.
